The Lodge is located in the Sheep Creek Valley, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Our facility is popular with hikers, fishermen, ATV users, and hunters. You can hike, fish, quad, snowmobile, take photos or just plain relax right at the lodge.

In the nearby town of Grande Cache several other adventures are available. The area is home to some of the best whitewater in Alberta, and rafting trips can be booked with Wild Blue Yonder White Water Rafting. Horseback riding, helicopter flights, golfing and paintball are also available and can be booked through Wild Blue Yonder. See this page for other useful links.

On Site Activities

WILDLIFE
Sheep Creek Lodge is located in one of the most scenic Rocky Mountain areas in Alberta. Wildlife abounds with sightings of Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goats, Elk, Moose, Deer, and a variety of other species being an everyday occurance.

QUADS
ATV users will appreciate being able to relax at the lodge at night, and spend endless hours in wild country during the day. We have maps of local ATV trails.

HIKING
See the wilderness up close and personal. A network of trails take you to the destination of your choice. With a large variety of wildlife and plant species, there's always something to see and learn. If you are an avid hiker, base from the Lodge and get to those peaks faster!

MOUNTAIN BIKING
From gentle to wild, there is a trail for you. Ride along the Sheep Creek or summit a mountain, the choice is yours.

FISHING
Sheep Creek is home to Alberta's Provincial fish: the Bull Trout. Trout in excess of 10 lbs have been caught. All of our fishing is catch and release, but you can keep a photo forever. Trips to the Copton Creek and the Kakwa River for Grayling, Bull Trout and Rainbows are also available. Fishing license is required.

SNOWMOBILE & ATV TOURS
Sheep Creek Lodge offers both snowmobile and ATV trail maps. The lodge is located amidst a great trail network so whether you're a beginning rider or a seasoned pro, there is a trail for you.
